You can delete your riff account anytime, right from the app. It only takes a few taps. Below is exactly how to do it — and exactly what happens to your stuff afterwards. No hoops, no retention desk, no “are you sure?” five times.

Heads up: deleting your account is permanent. Once it’s done we can’t bring it back.

Open the riff app and:

• Tap your profile.
• Open settings — the gear in the top-right corner.
• Scroll down to just below sign out.
• Tap delete account.
• Confirm, and you’re done.

You’ll be signed out immediately, and your account is gone.

The moment you confirm:

• Your access is switched off — you’re signed out and can’t sign back in to that account.
• Your profile disappears from feeds, search, and other people’s screens.
• Your personal details — email, display name, and avatar — are scrubbed from our records.

Games you published stay live on riff, but they’re unlinked from you — ownership transfers to riff’s system account. We do this so the feeds, links, and remixes of people who played or built on your games don’t suddenly break.

If you want a specific game taken down too, email us before you delete (details below) and we’ll sort it out.

No problem — you can ask us to do it for you. Email hello@riff.games from the email address on your account, with “delete my account” as the subject, and we’ll take care of it.

Access to your account is cut off immediately. Full removal of your data then follows our normal retention schedule — some records may linger briefly in backups before they’re cycled out.

For email requests, we may first check that the account is really yours before we act on it — it protects you from someone else deleting your account.
